Shake That Weight Ltd is the Data Controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use the MyJurnee app ("the App"). It also explains your rights under UK data protection law and how to exercise them.
Please read this policy carefully before using the App. By creating an account and using MyJurnee, you confirm that you have read and understood this policy.
When you use MyJurnee, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
3.1 Account & Identity Data
Full name, email address, password (stored in encrypted form — we never store plain-text passwords), date of account creation.
3.2 Health & Wellness Data
Body weight entries (including date, weight value, and unit preference), goal weight, weight unit preference (kg, stones, or lbs), and daily weigh-in reminder preferences.
3.3 Progress Photos
Photos you voluntarily upload to your Progress Photos journal within the App.
- Photos are stored securely and are visible only to you
- We will never use your photos for marketing, advertising, research, or any other purpose
- You can delete individual photos or your entire photo library at any time from within the App
3.4 Usage & Technical Data
App usage patterns and feature interactions (via Google Analytics / Firebase), device type, operating system and app version, crash reports and performance diagnostics, and IP address.
3.5 Payment Data
Subscription plan selected. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe (or Apple / Google in-app purchase systems). We do not store your card details. All payment data is processed and held by our payment processors in accordance with PCI DSS standards.
3.6 Communications Data
Any correspondence you send to us via email or through support channels.
We use your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
Because we understand the sensitive and personal nature of progress photos, we want to be explicit about our commitments:
- Your photos are only ever visible to you when logged into your account
- Photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage accessible only through your authenticated account
- Our staff, contractors, and third parties have no access to your photos under any circumstances
- Photos are not used for AI training, model development, marketing, research, or any purpose other than display within your own account
- You can delete any or all photos at any time — deletion is immediate and permanent
- If you delete your account, all photos are permanently deleted within 30 days
We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

- Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing — never in plain text
- Progress photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage with access controls
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only
- We conduct regular security reviews of our systems and processes

Some of our service providers (including Google and Stripe) may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved under UK GDPR, to protect your data to the same standard as within the UK.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you within the App and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree, you may delete your account at any time.
