Turkey Goulash

Total Preparation & Cooking Time: 40 minutes (10 min Prep, 30 min Cook)
Serving Size: Serving Size: 1-1/2 cups. Serves: 6
Cooking Tips: Be sure that the pasta sauce you use is low in sodium. Otherwise, the dish may be too salty.

This dish is usually made with beef. We substituted turkey. No one will notice the difference!

2 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 lb ground turkey breast
1 medium-sized onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 lb macaroni, cooked
3 cups low-sodium pasta sauce
2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon crushed caraway seeds
1 pinch brown sugar
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese

Directions:
1. Heat a large pan over medium high. Sauté turkey, onion and bell pepper until done. Add sauce and spices and bring to a boil.
2. Cook macaroni until nearly done; drain in colander.
3. Add macaroni to turkey mixture and reheat briefly.
5. Serve hot with a sprinkle of cheese over the top.
